Tony Berger

ATHLETIC TRAINER (FOOTBALL)
Biography

Tony joined the Sports Medicine staff at the University of Iowa in the fall of 2016 providing coverage to the track & field teams. He began working with the football team in the fall of 2017.

Prior to joining the Hawkeye staff, Berger received his Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln while gaining experience with the wrestling and football teams. Tony continued his education at the University of Minnesota as a graduate assistant working primarily with the football and spirit squad teams, and earned a Master’s of Education degree in Kinesiology.

Tony is a NATABOC certified athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in Iowa. He is certified in First Aid & CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Graston Technique, Owens Blood Flow Restriction Therapy, Full Body ART, and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Berger is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
