Biography

Stephanie joined the University of Iowa Athletic Training Staff working with Women's Tennis as an outreach athletic trainer through UI Sports Medicine in October 2021.

She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a minor in Spanish in 2018. Her graduate assistantship at the University of South Carolina followed, where she provided athletic training services at Hammond School for one year and for the University of South Carolina Cheerleading squad the following. After graduating with her Master of Science in Advanced Athletic Training with research focusing in low energy availability in 2020, she then accepted a position as the first full-time outreach athletic trainer at South Carolina United FC.

She is a licensed athletic trainer by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training and a NATA BOC Certified Athletic Trainer. She holds certifications in ART Level 1 Lower Body and Upper Body, NKT Level 1, Mental Health First Aid, AHA Instructor for BLS/HeartSaver/First Aid, AHA BLS, and PHI Pilates Mat I Instructor. She currently serves on the NATA’s COPA Community Outreach Committee.
