Emma serves as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Football team.  She joined the Hawkeyes in March 2025.  Prior to this role, she was an Athletic Trainer at Baylor University working with the football team.  She previously worked with Purdue University’s football program as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2021-2023

Burley graduated from Purdue in 2021 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training before earning her Master’s Degree in 2023, also from Purdue. 

Emma, a native of West Lafayette, Indiana, is BOC certified and licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training.  She is a member of NATA and CPR/AED certified by the American Red Cross. She is also trained in Neurologic Dry Needling and holds her Advanced Rehabilitation Certification.
