Nick joined the University of Iowa Athletic Training Staff working with Football in June 2025. Before coming to Iowa, he spent 5 years working with the football team at the University of Illinois. Nick graduated from Iowa State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. He then completed a graduate assistantship at the University of Nebraska working with the football team from 2016 until he graduated with a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration in 2018. He then proceeded to work for the Indianapolis Colts for 2 seasons as a seasonal athletic trainer. Nick holds certifications in Blood Flow Restriction, FMS Level 1 and 2, FCS, and Sports Manual Therapy for Athletic Trainers and Sports PTs.

Nick is originally from Ankeny, Iowa, and lives in Tiffin with his wife, Halie, and their dog, Chloe.
