Andrea Chilcote
Andrea joined the athletic training staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Iowa Women’s Basketball team in the fall of 2022. Prior to this appointment she was a Senior Associate Athletic Trainer at Central Michigan University with the Women’s Basketball program from 2019-2022. Prior to CMU she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan with volleyball and softball from 2017-2019. From 2015-2017, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with Women’s Basketball and Men’s Soccer. She completed a post-graduate internship at the University of Illinois-Chicago with the Women’s Soccer team as an Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2014-2015. She Earned her BS degree in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University in 2012 and a MS in Sports Administration in 2014 from Eastern Illinois University while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer with Men’s Soccer, Men’s and Women’s Tennis (2012-2013) and Women’s Rugby, Men’s and Women’s Swimming (2013-2014).
Andrea is NATA BOC Certified and licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training. She is a member of NATA, MAATA and IATS. She is certified by the American Red Cross in CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer, including being a certified instructor. Andrea holds certifications for Structure and Function Dry Needling (SFDN1), Certification in Applied Functional Science, Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization and is an Accredited Clinical Preceptor.
Andrea is a native of Twin Lake, Michigan. She lives in Coralville with her two pet bunnies, Nopal and Pear.
