Juliana Perno

ATHLETIC TRAINER (WOMEN'S GYMNASTICS)
Biography

Juliana joined the University of Iowa Sports Medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in 2022 and serves as the athletic trainer for the Iowa Women's Gymnastics team. This upcoming year will be her 5th season with the team. Prior to this position, she was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Arkansas for Women’s Tennis and Spirit Squad. She was a graduate assistant at Central Michigan University working with the women’s gymnastics and volleyball programs from 2020-2022, where she earned a MA in Sport Administration. She earned her BS degree in Athletic Training from the University of Delaware in 2020.

Juliana, a native of Staten Island, New York, is NATA BOC Certified and licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training. She is certified in CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, dry needling practitioner, and Active Release Technique.
