Kaycie Landis

ATHLETIC TRAINER (SOFTBALL)
Biography

Landis joined the University of Iowa Athletic Training Staff in Spring 2022, serving as the athletic trainer for softball.

Prior to joining the Hawkeyes’ staff, Landis worked as an athletic trainer at Loras College, in Dubuque, IA, where she covered men’s and women’s volleyball, cheer, swim and dive, and tennis. While at Loras, Landis also served as an athletic training education clinical preceptor.

Landis received her bachelor's degree in Science-Athletic Training from San Diego State University, with a minor in Psychology, in May, 2019. During her time at San Diego State University, she worked as a student athletic trainer, both at the University of San Diego and San Diego State University. Landis earned her master's degree in Sports Administration in 2021, while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. As a graduate assistant athletic trainer, Landis covered volleyball, women’s basketball, and softball.

Landis is a licensed athletic trainer by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training, and an NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer. In addition to this she also is a certified personal trainer and certified human movement specialist. Landis is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association as well as certified by the American Red Cross: CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer.
