Biography

Matthew Bollier, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon in the Sports Medicine Clinic, and he specializes in knee and shoulder injuries. Dr. Bollier received his medical degree from Loyola University's Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago before doing his residency at Michigan State University and a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Connecticut.

He is actively involved in research involving rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, shoulder separations, meniscus tears, knee ligament injuries, patella dislocations, and cartilage defects. In addition to providing care for University of Iowa athletes, he takes care of active patients of all ages.
