Selena joined the Hawkeye Sports Medicine Staff in July 2024 as the Assistant Athletic Trainer with Rowing. She comes to Iowa from the University of Virginia, where she completed her Athletic Training fellowship with the Women’s Rowing Team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021. Followed by her Master’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2023.

Selena, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, is BOC certified and licensed by the Iowa Board of Athletic Training.  She is a member of NATA and CPR/AED certified by the American Red Cross. She also holds Certifications in Mental Health First Aid and QPR Suicide Prevention.
